James and his wife Bridgette moved to RBC in 2024 and have stayed because of the “strong Christ loving community they found”.
Faith in Christ has been the foundation to James’s life, which continues to guide and shape his growth day to day. He deeply values the blessing he’s received to guide people through his role as a Chaplain, and wants to share the love he has felt from God to those around him.
Outside of work and church, you’ll usually find James either underwater, travelling, climbing or studying random topics.
His favourite Bible verse is James 4:8, as it reminds him that God is always reaching out to us and that it is our choice to accept His love and care, or to ignore it and live in this fallen world separate from Him. This verse is also intertwined with a healing miracle his wife experienced.
James 4:8 – Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleans your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
